My journey into health and wellness began in my teens, rooted in a home where nutritious meals were the cornerstone of our daily lives. Though I was tempted by junk food like many others, I quickly realized how those choices drained my energy, affected my focus, and left me feeling sluggish and disconnected. The impact of these food choices became more apparent during high school, where I noticed that sugary snacks and fast food made it difficult for me to concentrate on schoolwork and perform in sports.
Everything clicked for me during a 9th-grade nutrition class, where I began to truly understand the connection between what I ate and how I felt. I became passionate about the power of wholesome meals to fuel both body and mind. This passion followed me to college, where I found myself at a crossroads between two interests: nutrition and communications. After much reflection, I realized I didn’t have to choose one over the other—I could combine them. I pursued a degree in Communications with a minor in Nutrition, blending my love for health with my desire to communicate and educate others.
My professional career initially led me to work as a Television Producer, but my passion for health never left me. As a mother of three incredible young men, I made it a priority to instill the importance of healthy eating in my family. My commitment to nutrition extended beyond my home when I joined forces with a group of dedicated moms to form a 'nutrition committee' within my children’s school district. Together, we educated students about healthy food choices and successfully influenced the school’s food supplier to offer healthier options.
As my children grew older, I felt a calling to return to my roots in health and wellness. I earned a certification in Nutrition and Healthy Living from Cornell University, reigniting my mission to empower others to take control of their health. Today, I’m a Health and Wellness consultant offering one-on-one and group sessions tailored to each individual’s unique needs. My services range from meal planning and preparation to supermarket tours, cooking lessons, pantry cleanouts, and ongoing support.
